Just when we think things are moving along at a normal pace then, “wham,” everything happens at once. I know this is something that has happened to us all and most recently myself. After returning from an enjoyable trip visiting family and believing I had it all under control, there it was all over the calendar of upcoming events and appointments that I hadn’t thought about until then, not to mention all the other little things that needed my attention and wanted to get done. Somehow things “are” falling into place and so far I haven’t lost my mind worrying about it all. I know with God’s loving sense of humor and a few shakes of His head had it all covered, because I could hear the words, “Be still and know that I am God,” over and over, and I now know that’s where my focus should have been all along. We all need to remind ourselves of his everlasting presence and faithfulness, acknowledging we don ‘t have all the answers and trusting in Him to find them for us. We need to offer our thanks for the ways He has held things together even when we feel like we were ready to break. “Just be still and listen!”
Romans 8:28
He works all things together for your good.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, when we feel everything coming at us at once and we are trying to keep our heads above water, help us remember You are our source of strength and guidance, and remind us that You are by our sides fighting our battles no matter how big or small and may we always put our trust in You. In Your precious name we pray. Amen
