When we are healing from an injury, an illness or a surgery, it is important that we follow the physicians instructions if we want to heal properly and be well. It may not always make sense to us as to why we have to follow certain strict regiments, but we must remember we have put our faith and trust in our physicians to make us better. However, it’s important to look at how experienced they are and the experience other people have had with that particular physician before we make a decision to put our trust in them. We know the one who is our Great Healer, and I believe He has gifted physicians to be used as an instrument of His healing power. As Christians it is always encouraging when the physician himself is a believer, then we know for sure that he has been touched by God and we will be healed. God heals us in so many ways, but sometimes when a little help is required He sees to it that we are led to the ones He has gifted the healing power with. Continued prayer will lead us to the “who,” “what,” and “where” when the need is there. Never stop praying for healing!
Ecclesiasticus 38: 1-4
Honor physicians for their services, for the Lord created them; for their gift of healing comes from the Most Hi~h and they are rewarded by the king. The skill of physicians make them distinguished and in the presence of the great they are admired. The Lord created medicines out of the earth and the sensible will not despise them.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, You are the Great Healer. We ask for your healing touch when we are sick, injured or when we are in a place of despair. Help us to seek out those you have gifted with your healing power when the time is needed. In your precious name we pray. Amen
