“Lord, your love has poured out so many amazing blessings on our land! You’ve restored Jacob’s destiny from captivity. You’ve forgiven our many sins and covered every one of them in your love. Don’t let us in our ignorance tum back from following you. For I know your power and presence shines on all your lovers. Your glory always hovers over all who bow low before you. We are so blessed! Our God has poured out his blessings on us in the forgiveness of our sins, and in answering our prayers for the renewing and or strengthening of our faith. We are, with patience, learning to listen for his voice as we seek his directions for our lives. Our goal is to continue to grow within his power, seeking his presence.
In this passage, the Psalmist is explaining how the love God has for his people has blessed so many, not only in the forgiveness of our sins, but you God, continue to rain down blessing after blessing. The Psalmist explains that love, truth, and living in a way pleasing to God brings about his blessings of peace. The more we seek His righteousness first, the more we realize that it is ours for the asking!
Heavenly Father, help us to realize that within your love for us, we can have the promise of your peace, your power, and your presence, for which we are ever so thankful
