THE ENERGY OF A CHILD!

Participating in Vacation Bible School can be quite an experience, especially when you are dealing with children of all ages. As chaotic as it may seem to some, it all comes together and everyone has had a great time. The adult volunteers may feel somewhat drained by the last day, but knowing the children have received some spiritual guidance along the way makes it all worth while. I am sure there are some children that are unsure of who God is, and hopefully they have been impacted by what we have done through VBS time. Children are like little “sponges” soaking up everything they hear and experiences shared, and if we, as adults can be part of that journey by showing them positive examples in a Christian environment, we have succeeded. We sometimes forget the energy of a child, and at the same time wish we had some of that energy to keep up with them, but watching them laugh, make new friends and hearing their young voice lifted up praising God makes our hearts swell. As Christians, it is crucial to share our faith with the next generation, not only during VBS week, but every week and everyday so they may learn to make good choices in life. God, our source of all energy, including the life force within our children!

Proverbs: 22-6
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Prayer :
Heavenly Father, we pray for our children as they develop spiritually, mentally, emotionally and physically that they come to know Christ and grow in their faith and develop Godly friendships along their journey and lean on You when having to make good decisions in life. We want them to succeed, be happy and find peace. In Your precious name we pray. Amen
