We’ve all heard the expression “when life gives you lemons you make lemonade.” It’s a great adage and makes a lot of sense, but maybe not useful for everyone. However, I do admire those who find it useful and who look for the good in difficult and even tragic situations. We’ve all seen a person with a disability who manages to find humor and
inspiration to pass on to others, and that is a humbling experience to say the least. Maybe, it’s God showing us His sense of humor by throwing us the occasional lemon to see how well prepared we are to make the lemonade. We know the recipe for His lemonade is “out of this world!”

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to His purpose.

Heavenly Father, our strength and our rock, we give thanks for those times when we are troubled and your are there to lift us up. Help us to continually look for the light in the darkness, no matter how bleak the moment may be. In your name we pray. Amen
