Just A Few Of My Thoughts …

“For here is eternal truth: When that time comes you won’t need to ask me for anything, but instead you will go directly to the father and ask him for anything you desire and he will give it to you, because of your relationship with me. Until now you’ve not been bold enough to ask the Father for a single thing in my name, but now you can ask, and keep on asking him! And you can be sure that you’ll receive what you ask for, and your joy will have no limits! And I will not need to ask the Father on your behalf, for you’ll ask him directly because of your new relationship with me. And everything I’ve taught you is so that the peace which is in me will be in you and will give you great confidence as you rest in me. For in this unbelieving world you will experience trouble and sorrows, but you must be courageous, for I have conquered the world!” John 16:23-24,26,33 TPT

We are so blessed! We have a Heavenly Father that we, as his children, can talk with at any time, or at any place. We were granted this privilege after the resurrection of Jesus. His desire is for us to establish a relationship with him, so that no matter the circumstance we find ourselves in the midst of, we can go directly to him and simply ask and keep on asking.

In this passage Jesus is speaking to his disciples, explaining that after his resurrection they would be able to speak directly to the father, to ask him for anything they would need or desire. He tells us to ask and keep on asking so that our joy will have no limits. He assures us that in this unbelieving world, we will experience trouble and sorrows, but in and through him the world has been conquered, and peace can be ours for the asking!

Heavenly Father, help us to remember that in order for us to have the ability to ask, you, in your love for us, gave your Son, and be ever so thankful.

In Christ Love
